Last night Kristin and I did something we have never done (and it was at her suggestion). We decided to eat somewhere where we've never been. We decided on Wingers (how adventurous are we?). It was very good. Kristin and Jason definitely appreciated the free popcorn they serve as an appetizer. I enjoyed my fish and chips and Kristin's steak sandwich was good though the texture got to her (totally just a pregnancy thing). They gave us a free slice of ice cream pie. It was enormous and we were stuffed for the evening.
Afterwards we went to the mall. We bought lots of games: a chess set for me - it's taken a long time because I'm picky, Five Crowns - a game that we enjoyed playing with Troy and Tracie, and games/activities for our Primary class. I'll bet they'll love them.
Finally we let Jason play at their playground. He was so good! Literally from about 30 feet away, he spotted the playground and just jetted for it. Climbed the stairs, waited his turn and would slide down. He'd get off of it immediately (not like some other kids who would try running up it) and then just run around and climb the stairs again. Repeat multiple times. I was very impressed because if there were people ahead of him, he wouldn't get impatient or anything. He'd stand and wait until I'd say "Go Go Go". Happy as a clam, he was. I guess he could get better at leaving the playground, he's never very happy about that.
PS - Kristin did very well with the 3 boys. Neither little one wanted to take a nap when there was so much excitement, but everyone had fun. I worked from home in the afternoon for moral support, but it really wasn't necessary. Goes without saying, but we'll be bummed when the Maxwells move to Cozamel.

What a patient little guy. Let's hope the next one isn't the opposite!
Wingers? I've never been there either.
Ahh, I think that is so sweet Jason would wait in line for his turn. What a BIG boy! :)
Jason is such a great little boy. I hope he stays the way he is even when he is TWO! I bet he will. (Don't worry, I knocked on the wooden table!)
P.S. I have yet to find a kid who wouldn't mind leaving a playground.
