Dream

I knew I forgot to write something. So last night I was having a nightmare and there was this girl that was being really mean. She leaned down to do something and all of a sudden I woke up swinging my arm at Will, trying the hit him. Poor guy was trying to give me a kiss before he went to work. I scared him to death. He just barley jumped and missed the hit. The scream that came out at the same time was pretty funny. Sorry Will!

More pictures

This is Jasons first packet of Lucky money. He enjoyed holding the red packet, a few of the packets got a "little" wet with drool.

This is Jason's great grandma. They loved having him there. Oh and the toy you see Jason holding is a dog toy. He loved it. We lost it, so Will and I will buy him a new one tonight.

Troy and Tracie got these trucks for Jason for his birthday/Christmas. Jason loves them. They make noises and sing. Every time they make noises Jason dances.

When we went to Jumbo (it is a floating restaurant) Jason was asleep. The waiter brought over another chair so that he could sleep. He was just so peaceful.

And last but not least it is just a picture of Will and I looking down one of the many busy streets of Hong Kong.

As for events that just happened. It has been snowing here. We have a few inches on the ground. And Will is almost caught up with the work that he missed. Fast worker. I guess his co-worker and boss really struggled while Will was gone. That is a good sign that Will's job will be around for a long time.

We are sad though that while we were gone our dish went out, so we missed all our shows, sigh. We did get both amazing races, but only 1 episode of Heroes. Troy and Tracie if you missed heroes then you can go online at NBC and they do a really good job of recapping heroes. We don't really feel like we missed anything with the show.

This was taken on the plane.

This is Kelly the flight attendant that we had on both flights.

This is Just a random picture of some buildings. We took a lot of random building shots.

And yet another random picture. This one is of the stores.

We're back

Well it has been a good vacation, but we are glad to be home. What impressed me the most about Hong Kong was the public transportation, the tall buildings, and the amount of people there. It was such a different world going there.

Thursday we went and walked around where Joanna lived. We got to see where she went to church, where she went to school, etc. It was pretty fascinating. Then we headed to Edwards friends house for a thanksgiving dinner. He is such a nice guy and Jason LOVED their cat. We made sure that he washed his hands after playing with him.

Friday was another day of shopping. Will and I did not buy to much, but we sure did have fun. We did get to see a lot of Will's family. We ate dinner with them again. I would say that I am finished having peaking duck for a long while. We had it 4 times while we were there.

On the way back to the states we had the same fight attendant. She was very sweet. She gave us a note telling us her email address so that we could exchange the pictures of her and Jason. I was so shocked that we had her on the way back from Hong Kong.

Monday we pretty much just chilled out and ajusted to the time difference. We did go see the grave site of Joanna's parents, we went out to eat with Edwards Uncle, and we got to see Joanna's sister. All in all things turned out really well.

I would like to say that Jason is back on normal time, but he woke up last night at 2am and stayed awake until 3 am. I think he treated the time before as a nap because I had to wake him up at 10:45 this morning. Silly kid. I am hoping it wont take to long for him to ajust back to normal.

Wednesday

Will's Grandpa is a pretty funny guy. I was commenting how tall every thing was in Hong Kong and he then said. Short people tall buildings. What a crack up.

On Wednesday we were able to go on a tour of the island. We went and saw a temple, fishing village, jewelry factory, a beach, and my favorite Standley market. It was just like in the Dominican Republic, with all the shops right on top of each other and you could bargain. The tour guy was a nice guy, but he made every one feel stupid at one point on the trip. He would ask these questions and I thought they were going to be jokes, but it ended up that he was asking to see if we knew the answers. When we didn't know the answer he would just give us a look. My question was what do people in China speak. I was way off. I said Manderin and oh that is not the right answer it is PoTungWah. What ever. He was a nice guy though. He asked us what we wanted to find and showed us exactly where to find it and it was the cheapest place too. He also gave us a bag of the candy that I was looking for. He walked up to us, handed it to me, and walked away before I could say anything. So that was nice of him.

We also got to eat on a boat restaurant thing on Wednesday. That was an experience. One of Edwards friends took us. It is a very touristy place. You can go in the back and see where they get the fish. I was so surprised, he walked right over to the lobster and pulled one out, so the guys could hold it. He also grabbed a shrimp and through it into another fishes tank to see if they would eat it. He had been there many times so he knew what he was doing. We had to take a boat taxi to get to the restaurant. It was a pretty interesting meal. Oh I forgot to mention that Jason sleep through the whole thing. The waiter brought over 2 chairs and he laid on them. It was pretty cute.

Dang no pictures again that would load. Maybe tomorrow.

First day in Hong Kong

I have so many picture I want to share with you guys, but I know I can't. I would say it is great having 3 people with a camera. I know that if I don't take a picture some one else will.

The flight here was great. Jason is such a good little traveler. He sleep for a lot of the flight, played with every one, and watched the aristacats. The stewardesses loved him. At the end she asked if Jason would take a picture with him. She came and played with him about 7 times. Jason never gave her a hi-five though. He adjusted pretty well for the time except that he is up at 4 am right now.

We didn't get much sleep yesterday, so we all were on auto polite. Will's Grandparents thought he was a cute little boy. He performed pretty well for it being 1 am in the morning Utah time. When we left I guess she bragged about then to a lot of people. We will see them later on in the week.

We went out to eat with the grandparents and that was an experience. The waitresses all came over to see Jason and yes again thought he was "duk-yee" That is all we hear from people. It is nice to know so many people think we have a cute kid. No one is shy with him either, I swear the whole population has touched him. Oh but back to the waitress. At one point she came over, clapped, and picked him up. She took him over to see the cooks, and then again she took him and showed another family him. When the lady held Jason her kid automatically got nervous and said "mommy?!?" I would say it made me very nervous, especially when she took him out of our view, but he is still here and doing great.

When we went over to Willis grandparents house they gave Jason his first "ly-cee" lucky money. Jason was pretty interested in the red packet.

Also one last tidbit. We bought Jason a toy for the trip and he LOVES it. The funny thing is that it is a dog chew toy. We got it for 88 cents. How funny is that!!

Ok Jason is almost asleep, so I am heading for bed too. sorry the pictures wont load right now you will have to see them later. I am getting to tired.

It's Friday already

I can't believe that its Friday already. Time flies so fast. This will be the last blog for 2 weeks or so, but the pictures I will have when I do come back!

I am trying to get things ready still, doing the laundry, packing, planning, cleaning, wrapping presents, etc. To those of you that I wrapped your present today, they were wrapped in much love and much slobber! Jason just had to help me, so they are not the prettiest, but they got done, (few ripped corners too). What a great helper!

I did weigh my great little helper and he weighs 21 pounds. Can you believe it 21 pounds!! We bought him a "big boy" car seat. It is front facing. I am not ready for him to grow up and out of his old car seat. Sigh. I guess it is better that he is safe.

Flu Shot

Yikes, Jason got a flu shot yesterday. We want to keep him healthy while we are on the plane. Will got a shot as well, as for me I would prefer to get the flu then get pricked from that needle. I can handle it.

We dressed Jason up in his new shoes and they were just too cute. He really didn't mind them.

This is an older picture of Jason getting "shot" on stage from Halloween.

And last but not least Jason has realized that he can bite his spoon while eating.

We are still getting ready for our trip. Yesterday was clean up the house day and today is make a lit of every thing we need for Jason day. It is not light packing when you have kids. All the food, strollers, cribs, diapers, etc. Well at least the way back the bags will be lighter!

Pouring

So I gave that tile board a shot last night. I would have to say that I like the picture of Christ the best. The proclamation and living Christ are not my favorite, but I am still going to hang them up. The proxy stuff didn't soak the whole paper so it looks splochy, but I still like them. Maybe I will try it again later on.

Jason now has 4 teeth on top. Yes he is smiling, I have him upside down. We found out that is the easiest way to show people his teeth. Ignore the drool.

Here are a picture of his adorable shoes. I am going to put them on him today.

Junior Mint

I thought this was to funny not to share. Jason stepped on one of my Junior Mints and some how he found out where it was. He started to lick the floor. Yes, he is licking the floor. Don't worry I didn't let him clean the whole floor, hahaha!!

He did it again!

Can you believe it he did it again! He was holding onto Will, let go, and took a step to Travis (my cousin) and then grabbed Travis. How crazy is that! It is only 1 step, so it is hard to capture on tape, but it is pretty cool. Mickie told me that she would be very jealous if Jason started to walk in Hong Kong, but I bet Joanna would be jealous if he didn't. We went and bought him a pair of shoes. They are so cute. I will have to get a picture for you all.

We went to the store and bought Jason food for the trip. WOW it was a lot of food, but he has a good variety and I already planed out his menu so that Will doesn't always ask me "what does he eat now" I can just give him the list and presto, that's what he eats.

The pictures don't really do the situation justice, but Will put Jason's clothes on and one leg didn't quite make it in the hole. He tried to crawl one legged, but it didn't work so well.

Walking already?

Jason took his first step yesterday. It was only one step, but it surprised both Will and I. Jason was holding on to my leg, then he took a step to the couch. He had let go of my leg and it was all him, with no support. We were so amazed. I think that he has a while before he is really walking, but he does like to experiment with standing and letting go of things. I think probably he will be walking at around Christmas or a little after. How fun.

Will had a great birthday if I do say so myself. Will had been saying a while ago that he has not been able to sleep in since Jason was born, so I took the car in the afternoon and dropped Jason off at Mickie's work. They took him for the night. Will was so surprised. We sleep in until 8:30!! How pathetic.

We are also trying to prepare for Hong Kong. I can't believe that we are going to start our adventure this Saturday. That is crazy. We are getting Jason his flu shot on Wed so that he doesn't get sick sitting in the plane for that long. He is almost over his cold, still the runny nose, but nothing to tragic. So much to do and so little time!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO WILL!!

Happy Birthday to WILL! Hurray he is almost an old person, 27 years old!! (I will always be young!!) We plan on going out to dinner at red robin and then it is off to see a movie. I am not sure how it will turn out with Jason, he is not as cooperative as I would like lately. It should still be fun. Or we might hang out with Matt and Mickie, who knows.

Last night was the football game. It was suppose to be an exciting one, but we creamed them 55 to 7. Poor Wyoming, poor Travis. It was a little to cold for Will so I took Travis instead. It was a fun game to go to. Matt and Mickie came over after the game for a while to grab something to eat and have the traditional Martinellies. Yummy. I like that tradition especially since we win almost every game.

Yes Jason is still a little sick, but he is feeling much better. Yesterday he laid around and watched his cartoons (blues clues and backyardagains) and sleep. He was a pretty good kid.

Fabric

Do you like how at the end he growls at me?

Sick

I walked in a few days ago to find Jason sleeping like this. What a weirdo!

Well Jason has his first cold of the season. I think he picked it up from Brighton. He is doing pretty well. He is getting use to me wiping his nose every 5 min. At least he is not yelling as much when I do it. I have been keeping him on tylenol, but he doesn't have a fever. I think it has helped relax him. I also have been keeping him hydrated. I don't think he will be sick for long.

Last night he did however get up at 4 am and proceeded to stay awake until 5. It was a long night, but at least he wasn't that crabby.

Tonight is the BYU game and the weather looks terrible. It is going to be very very cold, but I think it will be a fun game to go to!

Skateboard

I guess if you are a teen the fun thing to do is lay down on your long board and see how fast you can get going down our street with out crashing. Your friend then follows in the car to see how fast you are going. Not to smart to me, but I can see Colton doing it.

The other day Will and I were going to the store and we caught the tail end of a teen crashing into our front yard. I guess he got up to 30 mph, or that is what his friend in the car was yelling across the street. The kid was in pain, but I don't blame him, that picture is what his skateboard did to the sidewalk. I couldn't believe that it took a chunk of sidewalk out. Ouch!

The tree out side is very pretty. It is again time to rake leaves. Yuck!

Unhappy

Jason gets so frustrated when we shut the door on him. Don't think about shutting the door when you go to the bathroom or you get this.

Wet willies

Jason just has to give me a wet willie.

Blocks and dad

Jason likes to play with daddy!

Teeth

Here are some pictures of Jason in his new church outfit my mom got him. He looks older in it. For all of those who care, Jason is wearing a size 12 months, and by Christmas/his birthday he will be in a size 18 months. I thought I would tell you all just in case.

Do you like his 2 front teeth in the picture. He also has a 3rd up there you can't see and one breaking through. He is handling the teeth pretty well.

Parker kicking blocks

Parker and Jason are playing. They had a great time!

Shower

What a little sneak. I was showering and all of a sudden Jason was in the shower with me. Clothes and all. I couldn't believe it. I guess I have to do a better job of keeping Jason out from now on. Its a good thing I had not turned the water hotter at that moment.

I forgot

So at church I over heard a heavy set kid say to his mom... "My head is aching with hunger!" I chuckled.

Scotland Yard

These are pictures from the weekend. Saturday we went Christmas shopping. I, of course gave Will his birthday present early. Hey I lasted a week this time. I bought him a chess set that you can play up to 4 people with. I thought it would be cool, but he returned it and bought Scotland Yard instead. We have had fun playing it.

We caught up with Matt and Mickie at lunch time when Mickie took Jason to "show him" something. She came downstairs and he was wearing the Mavs out fit. He looked so cute in it! I know it is not the Lakers, but it was still cute.

We then headed out to go disc golfing. It was cold out side, but we keep Jason VERY warm. He loved it.

Then we went to Matt's work and watched BYU win. We watched it in the work out room. It was different. Before the game started Mickie and I made chicken noodle soup. Let me just say you can't make it in the crock pot. It was so gross. The noodles were mush, nasty! Matt and Jason fell asleep during the game.

We then played Will's new game. Sunday they came down and we ate dinner and hung out.

Jones soda anyone?

Wow I was able to load pictures the normal way. Hurray!

Jason loves to be on dads shoulders and pull his hair. He has a very strong grip that hurts.

Jason enjoyed sucking on the Jones soda bottle.

The last picture is just a cute one Mickie took.

Corn maze again

Here are more pictures from the corn maze. Posted by Picasa

Wahoo

Matt taught Jason how to say wahoo. It was pretty funny.

Contest winners

Posted by Picasa Here is my cute little lion and safari hunter. We put Will in the Noni costume contest and Jason was the prop. They won second place and 75 bucks. Hurray!! The pirate is Linda.

Pumpkins

Here are the pictures of the pumpkins. Next year we won't be passing out candy. One group of kids knocked over the pumpkin off the porch and another group kicked in the face of the tiki guy. What little punks. Posted by Picasa
