Week

We have been having a great time. Christmas went well. My dad made us night stands for Christmas and we bought a bed. We are going to actually have a bedroom. We are so excited!! Christmas we went bowling and just hung out.

We were suppose to take pictures on Tuesday, but it was all rainy. All of our plans fell through, so we just went shopping and watched the night museum movie. It was just ok in my opinion.

Wednesday we went on some ATV's. Everyone enjoyed themselves (Jason, HD, Britany, mom, and I all stayed in the car). I was a wimp and didn't go on them. Will instead of going on them he built a little dam in a stream, and he dug a trench to connect 2 puddles. He was so excited once he finally connected the puddles.

Thursday we jammed a lot of the stuff that was rained out on Tuesday. We went to science works museum, took pictures, went to Noho's for dinner, and played cricket with the Dunns. That science works museum was so fun. It is all hands on stuff you can do and puzzles to figure out. My favorite exhibit caught your shadow. It was a dark room with a glow in the dark back round. Every 30 seconds it flashed and your shadow would be saved on the background. It was pretty fun. I could have stayed at least another hour there.

The pictures I hope turned out well. Jason was being such a grump, so it was hard to get him to smile. Trina humored us and took some picture inside and outside. It was pretty cold outside. Once she gets the pictures up on her website I will send you all the link.

Dad's birthday dinner

Jason is silly! As you can tell we were laughing pretty hard.

Christmas Eve

Wow I wish that I brought my camera when we went out looking at Christmas lights tonight. We borrowed a 15 seat van and shoved everyone in. It was great fun. Everyone was busting out in song. There were 2 good parts. Will busted out with "don't you think I'm the girl... The girl who has everything" from Little mermaid. The other part was when Matt and Bradin sang a song none of us knew, and so we retaliated with sweet violets. It was great.

Saturday we did a lot. It was filled with getting dollar gifts, picking out our Christmas cereal, and making ginger bread houses. Mine by default turned out to be a buddhist temple. Mickie made the cougar football stadium, my mom make a ski sloop, and Suzanne made a structurally sound house. It turned out pretty good.

Birthday

Here are a few pictures from the birthday party. He had a great time once the tylonal kicked in.

Yes Matt and Travis played football video games.

No he didn't eat his little cupcake. He was to busy playing with all his new toys!

We are here in Oregon finally. The trip took a good 3 hours long then it was suppose to. We drove through a huge storm, but we were pretty good with Matt and Mickie's Jeep. We did drive 45 mph it felt like half way, but we are here and we are safe.

Jason is a little cranky because he doesn't know this house, but I think by the end of the week he will warm up to it.

Trike

Joanna has been staying with us for the past few days. Jason has really enjoyed playing with her, and I have enjoyed the break from watching him. Last night we went out to eat dinner. It was the waitresses first night and she wasn't very good. Hopefully with time she will get better.

We also went out and looked for a toy for Jason. Joanna got him a cool rocking trike that we can push him in and it is also just a plain trike. How fun for Jason.

He also learned how to climb on top of the trike box. Silly kid. I just hope he is not going to try to climb on top of the fridge one day.

Oh and as you can tell Jason likes to stick his head in the washer and yell. He thinks it is the funniest thing in the world.

Happy Birthday Jason

I seriously have been slacking on this whole bolg thing. Last night I was told by a few people that I needed to update it. Its nice to know people read it, or look at it.

Jason had a great birthday. OK well the beginning was not as fun (he got 2 shots, which made him cranky for his party), but the rest was fun. We had a bunch of family and friends over to eat pizza and cake. It was fun hanging out with everybody. Jason LOVED all his presents. Every time "he" would open one, he would play with it for a second then it was taken away to open another one. He was so sad every time the new toy was taken away.

My mom also surprised us by showing up. It was nice to have her help because I was some where off in space. Thanks mom!

Other lessons we have learned... See's chocolate is good, but not as good as Godiva (Joanna helped with that taste test)... Jason can stand by himself for a long period of time (he is almost going to walk, but I still think he has a month or so)... Jason can find twisslers and will eat them when you are not watching (a quiet baby is up to no good!)... And the last lesson is that even if you have a birthday party in the middle of the week, people will still come (we all had a great time, thanks for coming!)

Mickie has the birthday pictures so they will be up once I get them from her... but enjoy these other pictures instead.

Party

No stories today that are very interesting. Art and Steph (cousins) have introduced me to the show scrubs. We borrowed a few seasons on DVD and I have been loving it.

Also Suzanne and my mom have been giving me ideas for Jason's birthday party. I think we are going to have games set up like guess the cheerios, bottle bowling, and block building. I think we might play musical chairs and draw the baby too. It will be interesting to see how everything goes.

I resurrected some old pictures.

Yes, the Bragg girls don't jump very high. And we all Jump like dorks.

Will did hit his head on the ceiling in this picture. He can jump way higher then the girls.

Feeling much better

We are all feeling so much better today. Jason is his happy self (ok he hardly was cranky, except for at lunch). It was great to be able to take a half sick day. I loved it. Will was such a great help. I was able to go take a nap and he played with Jason. I am glad I have such a supportive husband.

I still can't believe that it is December. This year has gone by so fast. It is amazing how things can change in just one year. Last year at this time I was pregnant, and now I have a year old kid who is eating our food and is trying to learn how to walk (he is still way off, but I did see him let go of the couch last night and taking another step).

We are looking forward to all the fun things that are going to happen in the next few weeks Jason's birthday, Joanna visiting, going to Oregon for Christmas, taking our first family pictures, etc. I know I forgot to send out some invites to Jason's birthday. If you didn't get one it is going to be December 19th at 6:30pm. We are going to have pizza and cake. We would love all to come if they can.

Sick again

I will make this a short blog today. Will is feeling better, but now Jason and I are sicker. Jason has a nasty little cough and my body aches. I am going to call in a half sick day. Will is going to come home at lunch to help take care of Jason so I can sleep. I would say that Jason is a better sick person then both Will or I (yeah I know I am not very good at being sick).

Jason is now able to get into any drawer or cupboard he wants. I guess I have to finish baby proofing the rest of the house with those silly latches.

Sickies, new snow, and the dentist

Yes Yes you read it right. We are a family of all sickos. Poor Jason got caught with the cold as well, but what do you expect, I do take care of him 24/7. Hopefully we all can shake it off fast.

There was new snow fall here. Everything is so white. I wish we weren't sick so I could take him out side for a while. I wonder how he would like the snow?

The last good news is that we finally went to the dentist! We found one that we really like. I was thinking that because of my pregnancy with Jason it really messed my teeth up, but it didn't hurt them as bad as I thought. I only have 3 cavities! Ok that is good news, because I thought that I had 6. Will ended up with only one. Oh and interesting fact, because Will was so conjested as a kid and he still is, his sinuses have expanded and now he has his roots in his sinuses. How weird is that. The hygenist keep asking if he gets sick does his teeth hurt, but nope it doesn't. Weird weird.

Ok more pictures. These are Will's cousins. Jason Enjoyed playing with them during dinner. They got Jason the stuffed animal on the lap of the mystery person. He LOVES that stuffed animal. He always gets so excited to see it.

Can you believe how close the highway is to the buildings. At meal times you can even look in and see what they are eating. I would not like that at all.

And yes they don't translate very well into English. I wish I took a picture of a sigh we passed that said to drive "DEAD SLOW"

Christmas party

I never told about Will's Christmas party. I would have to say it was a pretty good one this year. I didn't end up going, but Will had a good time. They held it in costco and gave every employee a $150 gift card. If you actually went then they gave you another $50. How cool is that. Will also hit the Jackpot and won the drawing and got an additional $100. We actually won a drawing. On top of that they had games that you could win $5 gift certificate. Will tried the football toss and the basketball, but lost, so he went for a more manly sport and won twice at the hula hoop. Go Will!!

He also enjoyed a nice hot breakfast and at the very end they gave him a pointseta plant. Ok no it is not what you are thinking. This as Matt described it is a "bush." This thing is huge! When Jason stands up, the plant is still taller then him. Mom I think I am going to bring it home. I have watered it once so far. I am thinking that I can keep it alive for a few weeks.

Well I guess I am airing my dirty laundry. HAHA what a terrible joke. I tried and tried to stop Jason from getting into the cabinet, but he was smarter then me. I put the laundry in front, but he took everything out and moved it for me. What a big help.

Tracie gave Jason a bath. Jason slipped and well that was the result.

We saw this cart. I don't think it has been used for a while, what do you think?

Ok so this leash was pretty funny and one point in the airport we had Jason on the leash and he was yelling at people as they walked by. He was like a little puppy. People must have thought we were crazy, but it worked. He sort of had his freedom and we didn't have to chase after him, it worked for me.

Down stairs

Can you believe it, Jason finally learned how to go down the stairs. Matt and Jason were playing a game of throwing the lion up and down the stairs. It was quite entertaining.

One handed walk

Matt has been walking around with Jason with one hand. He is doing pretty good.

Cat 2

Here he is again witht he cat.

Cat

Jason loved this little cat. It was the sweetest cat ever as you can tell. She didn't run off and let Jason play with her.

Brushing teeth

We "tricked" Joanna into brushing Jasons teeth. He likes to bite and it hurts!

Christmas toy

Don't tell Jason, but we bought him a contraption that popped balls in the air for Christmas. It was either that or the little people animal farm, but they ran out of those. Ok if it slips then you can tell him after all we did buy it with him. Heck we have already let him play with another Christmas toy. I think he will like it.

Jason is a smart little guys sometimes. Mickie (or I like to call her Pickles haha) taught him how to press the Santas nose to make these Christmas characters sing a song. I am hoping that the batteries run out really fast, it is quite loud and he presses the button over and over and over and over again. It's a good thing I love my kid!!

In Hong Kong they build new buildings right next to old ones...

And this is a picture of Jason on the subway. He loved it.

The subway did get a little crowded at times. Can you spot Edward?

Here we are crammed in the subway.

Feeding time

No I didn't forget that I could put videos on here. I am trying to teach Jason how to feed himself. Some times it turns out pretty well other times he flings the spoon at me with food. So much for these clean pants! He also has learned how to clap correctly. He sits and claps for 15 min at a time it is pretty interesting.

Thanksgiving again

Saturday was a pretty interesting day, they guys went off disc golfing and Mickie and I went off shopping. We were at walmart and Mickie was telling me that she wanted to get a candle for her house. We had a little extra time so I would show her over to this candle outlet store.

The place was packed. It was crazy. People were walking out with boxes. We looked at each other and said "Holy cow is it that great of a deal?" We walked in and walked out with 4 boxes combined. Yes it was that great of a deal. in between the walking in and out we did go home, tell the guys, and collected our thoughts so that we could get the right amount of candles. After calculating and buying I walked out with all Will's co-workers, primary presidency, home teachers, neighbors gifts, and some stuff for my self for under 50 bucks. Ok the gifts cost .33 cents each totaling 10 bucks, the rest was spent on me :) Don't judge, I got some wall sconces, candle jars to make pickles, and tins to fill and give as gifts. I also got more stuff, but that's all you need to know.

Will and I decided to make a Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday. We were pretty sad that we missed it, so I made some Cornish game hens, 3 pies, and pickles helped with the rest of the dinner. We had Travis and the Spences over.

The hens and pies turned out really good, but the rest was ok. It was my second time making gravy, and let me tell you that it did not turn out very good at all! I burned the rolls too. Thank goodness I had french bread from the day before. Yes I know it still wasn't the same.

Let me tell you the desserts turned out sooooo gooood! There was an amish apple pie, cream cheese chocolate moose pie, and a coconut cream pie (no one at the coconut besides Will :P). Yummmmm!!

Flowers

Yesterday Will and I went to a BYU learning class on math. It was really fascinating. We got some good ideas to help Jason learn. Also we learned about the learning triangle. You watch something, read about it, and do something that is the same topic. It was pretty interesting, plus you get a free book on the subject, so we got a book on counting.

We did try to get Jason his dog toy, but they did not have any more left, so we will have to keep our eye out for it. We also tried to buy Jason the lion King, but could not find it. I bet if I looked online I would be able to find one.

Yesterday I answered the door and someone was delivering flowers to me. I was so surprised. I guess Will had it planed for a while. It was very sweet.

These are pictures of the temple we went to. Those coil things were incents. It was so smoky inside that we smelled like incents for a few hours after word. The picture of the hand is suppose to be good luck if you touch it. The last picture is of my favorite building.
